[42] Паровоз BR23, DB
Even in epoch IV the newly constructed Bundesbhan locomotives of class 23 were still in operation. On 31.12.1971 there were still 76 engines running, without exception, stationed in just three depots (Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern and Crailsheim). The modern class 23 "outlived" the Prussian P 8 - they had been designed to be their replacement - by only just one year. The Fleischmann model shows the 23 with computer generated numbering and without the coloured boiler bands.
