The first 25 locomotives of the class Ae 6/6 are very often called Kantons locomotives, because they have the 25 crests of the Swiss Kantone on them. On the locomotive shell are decorative lines in Chrome and on the front sides is a little snout. These decorations combined with the crests on the sides became very popular and made the powerful machines famous in all of Europe.
